Gabe loves the show Sid the Science Kid on PBS. That is the only explanation I can give for the following conversation. I was slicing an avocado just down to the pit, so kinda rocking the knife back and forth, and Gabe pipes up.
Gabe: That's a lever! A lever has one line and one line and it goes up and down, up and down.
Me: Well, yes, I am kinda using it like a lever.
Gabe: We should go the levers and go up and down. (Translation- He wants to go the park and play on the seesaw.)
I assure you, he got that whole thing from Sid the Science Kid. They did a whole week on simple machines.
