Gabe's take on turtles

Gabe: "Why they always go slooowly?"
Me: "Because they have short legs and heavy shells on their backs, so they have to move slowly."
Gabe: "They have butts under their shells."
Me: "Yes, they have butts under their shells."
Gabe: "They take their shells off and put them back on."
Me: "No, they don't take their shells off.  They live in them all the time."
Gabe: "No, they take them off to go to the baffroom."

What could I say to that?
