The Trials of Toddlers

I'm so glad none of my children inherited my flair for drama.  :sarcasm:  Isaac was doing his whiny cry the other day, for no apparent reason, so I gave him a hug and sent him on his way.  Well, apparently he decided that wasn't enough sympathy, so he went and got his microphone and cried into it, right next to me.  Really, kid?

Sibling rivalry is in full swing now too.  Alex and Isaac are constantly vying for space on my lap, and Alex will actually grab Isaac by his shirt, yank him, and yell at him in an attempt to get him off me.  Isaac just holds tighter, but at least he's standing up to his brother.  Oh, and they all love to wrestle, especially Isaac.  We had a 5-person pileup earlier today when we were trying to get Alexander's boots on.  Crazy boys.

They've also learned to tattle.  Now mind you, they still can't talk, other than about 4 basic words, but they can still tattle.   One day Alex kept hitting Isaac, and Isaac finally pushed him away, and Alex went running over to Neil pointing at Isaac and having a fit.  Isaac just laid his head on me like he was trying to make up.  He's such a little suck-up.

Their newest thing is the rubber legs trick.  Don't want to go where Mom wants you to?  Just turn your legs to rubber and hit the floor so Mom has to let go of your brother to get you up.  Then it's his turn.  The opposite reaction is required when someone's trying to strap you into your carseat.  Then you have to make yourself as stiff as possible and/or pull off some contortions worthy of Cirque de Soleil.

And did I mention how all this happens to a constant commentary of "No, buddy.  Don't touch that.  You know better than that.  You are in time out." from big brother?  He's ever so helpful, at least at riling them up more.
