It never fails

Why is it that kids always injure themselves right before they have to go somewhere where they're bound to ask questions?  Gabe had a new set of tubes put in his ears this morning at Children's Hospital.  So of course, he decided yesterday would be a good day to launch himself across his bed and headfirst into his windowsill, giving himself a huge, nasty lump right above his left eye.  And of course it's the same eye that already has a scar from his stitches 2 yrs. ago.  But hey, at least he's polite.  He thanked his Lightning McQueen ice pack for helping, LOL.  Thankfully, no one at Children's even asked, though he was showing it off to the tech, who must have little kids herself, because she could totally picture him doing this.
